Once discovered as the son of The Director by Marx, John is brought into modern society as a revelation, a queer curiosity by everyone in the world, bringing Marx out of his outcast state and into incredible popularity. After discovering a book of the complete works of Shakespeare, John is moved by the 'drum' of the words on the page. Often abused for being the reason his mother lives the undesirable uncivilized life, John's only sanctuary was found in words. 'Mother,' a word found so repulsive by the new society she was unable to return.

Referred to by the civilized as 'The Savage,' John instantly becomes worldly-famous after he publicly claims The Director as his 'father' while his repulsive, naturally-aged mother stands behind him.įor years John dreamed of this 'Brave New World' as a heaven he'd never become apart of, hearing stories daily from his mother who at one time was apart of it, before accidentally becoming impregnated with John.
